Privacy statement
Bema-Tech handles personal data carefully and collects no more than necessary. This statement explains which data we receive through this website, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have.
Who is responsible
Bema-Tech, based in Nederweert (Netherlands), Chamber of Commerce 12060263. Questions about your data can be sent to the email address at the bottom of this page.
Which data and what for
- Contact form: name, company, email address, telephone number and your message. We use this only to answer your question.
- Downloading documentation: your email address, and whether you allow us to contact you. We record who has the documentation so we can send you a newer version.
- Quick scan and calculator: the answers and figures you enter, and your email address if you ask for the outcome by email. The figures are not personal data; they appear in the email you request yourself.
- Submitting a success story: name, company, role and your story. Publication happens only with your explicit permission and never before we have been in touch.
- Receiving updates: only if you tick the box yourself and click the confirmation link in the email. We then keep your address, name, company and the topics you asked about. Every message contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes your address immediately.
Visit statistics
We measure visits ourselves, on our own server. No cookies are placed, no IP addresses are stored and no data is shared with third parties. To count visitors we turn your IP address into an irreversible code using a secret value that changes every month. Within that month we can see that someone returns; after that the code can no longer be linked and the trail expires. We keep counts per day, per section, per language and per country for thirteen months. We also measure how long a section is viewed on average, without connecting that to a person.
How long we keep data
Submissions are stored on our own server so that a mail failure does not cost you a request. They are deleted automatically after two years; you can also ask for earlier removal. Data belonging to an assignment is kept for seven years because tax law requires it. After sending a form you receive an automatic confirmation containing what you filled in.
Sharing with others
We do not sell your data and use no advertising or tracking services. For sending email we use the mail server of our hosting provider Strato, where the message is processed in order to deliver it.
Your rights
You may ask which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw any consent at any time. Send a message to the email address below; you will get a reply within four weeks. If you are not satisfied, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
